Welcome to my world!
It is so good to connect with you at last. Recently I have been really busy, and all of us have had to learn to live with challenges that we have not faced before. Some of you have waited a long time to connect. I apologise for that and commit to providing great ideas and tools to help you thrive, on a regular basis.
I really felt the need to put aside some time at the start of this year to clear my head and get some clarity around my direction for this new season of my life. One of my “big rocks” is to help you make smart choices which will take you to a better place. One outcome of my quiet time is a clear goal for me to start, and be regular with, my encouragement of you. So I have a question which, leads to more questions: Do you need help to clarify your direction for the season ahead, and also what is your purpose behind it?
Here are seven questions I ask myself when I need clarity. They remind me to keep the big picture front of mind while I work out the short term goals. Everyone benefits when they have a plan that means something in the long term. When you know what you value you ensure that you give time, effort and priority to it.
Most often people are involved, and they need to be on your goal list and in your diary. Some are very good at scheduling tasks but forget about making time for growth in their significant relationships. Remember that it is the quality of your relationships that determines the quality of your life.
Sometimes I get lost in the detail of daily demands and forget why I am doing what I am doing. Context, meaning and purpose always makes the pathway easier and more enjoyable. Take a moment to reflect, and see if these questions help you as much as they help me:
- What are the five things you value most in life?
- What are the 3 most important goals in your life right now?
- What would you do if you won a million dollars tomorrow?
- What would you do if you had only 6 months to live?
- What have you always wanted to do, but have been afraid to try it?
- Which activities give you your greatest sense of importance?
- What one great thing would you dare to do if you knew you couldn't fail?
Let’s make this season significant. Live well.
Love, Lisa.
